Not Yet Official: Ford Taurus X Cancel
Taurus X can be kept alive, ready to be killed by Ford, this winter. The CUV has never been popular, a model packed into a racetrack with competing models.
Among the many problems of the Ford Motor Company has faced in recent years is trying to find a fleet of passenger vehicles with an attractive customer. Last year, the Ford Focus sold quite well economically, and because gas prices retreat, the F series trucks are bouncing, while the average size of twins - Fusion, Milan and MKZ - are also moving out distributors.
One of the vehicles, which have never been asked to have the Taurus X crossover version of the company's large sedan. Originally called the Freestyle, Ford has made some changes to the car model year 2008 and gave it to provide the name Bull's popularity to use model. Unfortunately, the Taurus X has never been caught, and Jalopnik and Edmunds are told that the 2009 model year will be the last crossover.
Ford had planned to reduce the production of the Taurus sedan and Taurus X, Mercury Sable and Lincoln MKS for several weeks during the coming months to bring production in line with demand. With sales significantly last year, the automaker wants to make sure the dealer offers is much more manageable. However, the Taurus X has not been a good seller in part because Ford already sells several other competing models, including the Edge and Flex.
In many ways, the Taurus X was a good model for Ford, proving that the automaker can build a crossover that meets the requirements of the owners of old minivan that need space for passengers (six or seven seats , depending on configuration), while fuel economy and decent power robust. When the car a facelift in 2008, Ford 3.5L Duratec V6 was the standard engine, a workaholic who has received praise from engineers.Yet car with two crossovers to compete with others, and small and large Ford Escape Ford Explorer Sport / utility model, the Ford line was stretched up too wide. With the closure of the Taurus X, Ford buyers are looking to direct for its awesome Ford Flex, a model that was introduced in summer 2008.
Ford is planning to cancel other models? It is very possible, especially if sales continue to fall. The money is a huge problem, Ford has no other option, a slow death that can not be stopped as long as the rise in forward sales.

2010 Ford Focus Facelift
